Rick Carlsen Guitar and vocals
RC cut his teeth in a musical era when bands were named after simians and insects. After 20+ years of live performing he set up his own studio in '96. Chantz began as a once-monthly improv project. "We've recorded 13 CDs this past year. These are the best guys I can be playing with right now, and Chantz is the zenith of my career." |

Tom Bruno Bass and keys
TB started playing music years ago for the love of music and to impress friends! He now finds himself surrounded by musicians that play for
music's sake. Chantz is for exploring the love of adventurous music found, lost and found again without trying to impress anyone. |

Charles Waltmire Percussives
Charles began his love of the drums when he got a shortwave radio and was able to pick up a distant Chicago station. They were playing the new Cream album 'Wheels of Fire,' and as soon as he heard Ginger Baker, he was hooked. Life intervened, but after many years he is fulfilling his passion by playing this music with Chantz. |
