Camp2

Camp2 is located in the Olympic Mountains of Washington, some 10 miles from Quilcene, WA, and is 'named' from a GPS waypoint. This may be a good observing site in clear weather. It is a level place, some 100 feet in dismeter with a somewhat clear view to the Southwest. See the photographs West, Southwest, South, North, and, Northwest. The photographs were taken with the camera approximately level. The tops of the mountains are some 30 degrees above level.

Directions: Follow dierctions and signs toward Mount Townsend Trailhead.
From Quilcene, WA, take US 101 South to the Penny Creek Road.
Turn West on Penny Creek Road, which is paved. A short section is not paved.
At the junction of Forest Service Road 27, keep left on FS 27, following the signs
toward Mt. Townsend trailihead.
At 8.1 miles from US 101, turn left into camp2, which is 100 feet off the road. Just past the turn into Camp2, there is a yellow FS steel gate which is normally open.
