Cars #4613 and #4614, The PCC's

The PCC's
These are PCC cars from Toronto, Canada. Currently, they are being stored at the DART Light Rail yards. You can see them from the Oakland Avenue bridge. 4614 was the last PCC to run in Toronto, and then the remaining PCC cars in Toronto's fleet were sold to various museums and dealers. These cars were completely rebuilt about three years ago. According to people in Toronto, they "jacked up the roof and built a new car underneath". These cars will be a nice, smooth running addition to the fleet once they are regauged to 4 feet 8 1/2 inches from their current 4 feet 10 7/8 inches.
This photo shows the PCC's sitting in the DART light rail yards in Dallas. The view is from the Oakland Avenue bridge.
