Linux Support for the RedRat3 Infrared USB Device

Note: If there is anyone out there who has interest in picking up maintainership/development of this project, I would be more than happy to hand it off to that person. E-mail me with details if you would like to.

There are just not enough people out there (that I can tell of) who use this code for me to find it fun to work on... In addition, the fact that Redrat will not give me a copy of the source for the firmware eliminates any reason for me to work on this (I wanted to gain some experience with embedded programming).

This is a project to create support for the RedRat3 IR device under Linux. As of version 0.0.2, most of the things that you can do involving learning and sending modulated signals work. There's still a lot of functionality that I've not yet had a chance to implement and there are rough spots in the code that need cleaning up.

The overall direction that I want this project to take is to have it provide a library that exposes all operations that the RedRat3 can execute, plus a small set of command-line utilities that make use of the library. This goal is still a couple of releases away. Please take a look at the 'Project Roadmap' page for more information on how this will happen.
