Wesak, 2003

After a long winter of inner work, people everywhere are welcomed with spring flowers and the promise of warmer weather. The season of spring brings forth a time of celebration of life and growth. During this time, the three full moons of the season are specially marked and honored.

The first of these is the full Moon of Aries/Libra, the festival of Easter or the Risen Christ. Locally this will be April 16 at 12:35 PM PDT. This is the Festival of the risen, living Christ, the Teacher of all men and the Head of the Spiritual Hierarchy. He is the expression of the love of God. On this day, the Hierarchy is recognized, as He directs the nature of God's love. This Festival is the great Western and Christian Festival. The keynote for this festival is one of Love.

The next full Moon is in Taurus/Scorpio and is known as the Wesak festival. Locally, this will be on May 15 at 8:40 PM PDT. This is the Festival of the Buddha, the spiritual Intermediary between the highest spiritual center, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy. The Buddha is the expression of the wisdom of God, the Embodiment of Light and the Indicator of the Divine purpose. It is the great Eastern Festival and from the standpoint of the Spiritual verities, the greatest event upon our planet. This event has the greatest effect upon the human race. The keynote for this festival is wisdom and Divine purpose. Tradition has it that Buddha was born, achieved his enlightenment and died, all on the full Moon in Taurus. Interestingly, the Pacific Northwest Salish Indians honor this time with the Salmon Festival, as the King Salmon begin their return to the rivers and streams of the region.

The Wesak this year will be a very special one because the full Moon is a total lunar eclipse. The Earth will be exactly positioned between the Sun and Moon, which often makes the Moon appear to be blood red in the sky. The time of totality is a robust 53 minutes, from 8:13 to 9:06 PM PDT. An eclipse like this is a perfect allegory for a deep state of meditation. Although the sunlight upon the Moon is blocked, the perfect alignment of the Sun, Earth and Moon allows for a free flow of magnetic and gravitational energy that reaches a maximum at this time. The Sun is our gateway to the rest of the universe, the Hierarchy. The Moon is manifestation on the physical plane, and the Earth is humanity, exactly in the middle. To celebrate the Wesak as profoundly as possible, enter into a state of meditation sometime during this eclipse.

There are several organized events built around the Wesak festival, but often they are scheduled around the weekend to maximize attendance. Attendance at these events can be very stimulating spiritually, but the optimum moments for any individual take place under the time of the full Moon itself. If you want to catch rainwater in a cup, it is best to hold out the cup when it is actually raining, not just sometime during the week when it may have rained.

All of the higher initiations are given during the Wesak. As people understand and avail themselves of the opportunity offered at this festival, they place themselves in line with a particular spiritual force. They are vitalized by it and spiritually stimulated, as they are consequently rendered available for service. The aspirant is encouraged to visualize the scene as described in 'THE WESAK FESTIVAL --A Technique of Spiritual Contact' -- a 22-page pamphlet distributed by the Arcane School, a part of the Lucis Trust.

"Just a few minutes before the exact time of the full moon, in the far distance, a tiny speck can be seen in the sky. It comes nearer and nearer, and grows in clarity and definiteness of outline, until the form of the Buddha can be seen, seated in the cross-legged Buddha position, clad in His saffron-colored robe, bathed in light and color, and with His hand extended in blessing. The Great Invocation sets up a great vibration or thought current, which is of such potency that it reaches up from the group of aspirants, disciples or initiates who employ it, to God Himself. It marks the supreme moment of intensive spiritual effort throughout the entire year, and the spiritual vitalization of humanity and the spiritual effects last throughout the succeeding months. The effect of this Great Invocation is universal or cosmic, and serves to link us up with that cosmic center of spiritual force from which all created beings have come. The blessing is poured forth, and the Christ--as the Representative of humanity--receives it in trust, for distribution.

Slowly then the Buddha recedes into the distance, until again only a faint speck can be seen in the sky, and this eventually disappears. The whole ceremonial blessing, from the time of the first appearance in the distance until the moment the Buddha fades out of view, takes just about eight minutes. The Buddha's annual sacrifice for humanity (for He comes back only at great cost) is over, and He returns again to that high place where He works and waits."

The full Moon of Gemini/Sagittarius is the Festival of the Christ. Locally, this will be on June 14 at 4:16 PM, PDT. Keynote: humanity, aspiring to God. On this Festival for two thousand years the Christ has represented humanity and has stood before the Hierarchy and in the sight of Shamballa as the God-Man, the Leader of His people, and "the Eldest in a great family of brothers" (Romans VIII:29). Each year at this time, He has preached the last sermon on the Buddha, before the assembled Hierarchy. This will be a festival of deep invocation and appeal, of a basic aspiration towards fellowship, of human and spiritual unity, and it will represent the effect in the human consciousness of the work of the Buddha and of the Christ. At the time of the Festival of Humanity (World Invocation Day), under the guidance of the Christ, the Hierarchy will let loose the will-to-good (as received during the Wesak Festival) upon Humanity, producing seven great results, according to the seven sub-rays of this first ray of will or power.

Keep in mind that, with each of these three full-Moon festivals, the two days before the full Moon should be used for preparation, and the two days following should be used for assimilating the energies of the full Moon itself. This makes a total of 5 days for each festival. Although commendable, participation in a formal group ceremony is not necessary. All that matters is an attentive reception to the outpouring of energy that is available at these times.

These are the times for our reward, given freely and with love for our year of study, work and growth. As the Salish Indians have known for generations, even though the salmon run like a mass of silver up the streams, we must put a net in the water in order to fish out food for the celebratory feast.

Heart Song

Within the hearts of each of you, which have been so blessed with the Divine, there is the masculine and feminine. That which is carried within the heart and mind of God. It is manifested as Light, as Love, as Will, as well as many other equally intensely beautiful Rays.

Sit patiently within your divinity during these troublesome times. With the quickening comes intense periods of turmoil in relationship to your psychic psychological being. What I think of as "psychic psychology" is deep and complex. There is a depth and complexity which for the most part still escapes your awareness. It is beyond my scope in this moment to share with you the depth of understandings between thoughts, emotions, and creation. Matter, events, and consciousness are the literal reflections of deep inner psychic levels. However, people are becoming more aware of these inner connections.

As your psyches open...as your intent to embrace light and love opens your crown and your heart...as the forces descend...as the true nature of your being is revealed, you cross these thresholds of sorrow, confusion, and pain. It is a very wounded psyche which must be healed. I am here to help facilitate that healing, because I am your Mother, and I love you greatly.

Open your heart to your feelings. Yes, opening your heart to your selves. Allowing all the tenderness and compassion that you would extend to a wounded suffering child, for you too are that wounded child. Beyond time, before you remember, you carry deep wounds. The child is wounded, and yet yearns to be held again in the arms of Divinity, of our union as Father Mother Creator.

I am here to help. I am here to pour my love into those places, to fill those cracks with the white healing. What shall I call it? Just allow these energies to be with you, to be with you in your times of challenge, in your times of closing down, of knowing not how to feel what you are experiencing.

Open your heart to me. Bring me in. You can be safe and open. You can let go of your fear of being blamed, of being held responsible for that which you did not create. And for your fear, shame, and guilt of being seen as a failure in the eyes of me, or in the eyes of your soul. We blame you not on any level. Nor do we blame ourselves. We did the best we knew how to do.

I am infinite, as vast as all the heavens, as all the space which holds all the stars, and yet we knew not all. You are a miracle. Your birth as a monad, a soul, and as an individual was a miracle You are miracles. There was fear to leave. There was fear to leave your home, and there was guilt and shame, as well as all the wonderful qualities of your being. But as you remember, you live out the pain. Your psyches touch the pain again, and there is confusion, there is sorrow, there is suffering. As those places open, we are here to fill them with our love, with the Light, with the beauty and truth of your eternal being. We are here to lift you up.

Have patience with this process. Delight in your remembering of me as I delight in you. I am close by for all of you. Sing a song, a simple song if you so desire. A song which captures the feeling, the vibration, so we can put energy-love-light-peace into your being...so you can come here again. Invoke it by your child song.

Unlocking the Treasure

Focus at the heart,

allowing the images to unfold,

just simply being aware.

Be as the silent watcher,

taking it all in.

Your empathy and compassion

are present.

All judgment is suspended.

Allow the imagery to unfold.

Conscious perception guiding you

through stillness and energies.

Becoming sensitive

to the refined vibrations,

allow them to lift you upward,

while remaining present

in your physicality.

This is the work of the times,

grounding and expanding simultaneously.

Expanding the personality

to consciously perceive

the true nature of your being.

Opening to an ever vaster

experience and knowingness.

Unlocking the hidden treasures...

Diving deep into the sea,

to discover the treasure that you are.

The god spark that you are,

is the treasure.

You are the treasure.

Deep within you is the burning flame...

The flame of All That Is.

Individualized for your

own miraculous manifestation.

Each in their own special way

will give voice to the Divine,

But no words can truly portray

Divinity.

The heavens await,

patiently, eternally.

Feel the energies of the stars,

of these cosmic beings

pouring forth themselves toward you

in the hope that their radiation

will stimulate the flame within you.

Listening to Body

"Let us begin then in our customary fashion. Establishing that familiar energetic link. Moving into body, giving each of your centers and each of your four bodies the chance for movement and expression.

You are desiring to feel the energies, your aliveness through your entire system. In particular, your physical body at this time which you know you are dependent upon for having an alive active presence in the third dimension. Indeed you would not experience the third dimension in the particular way you do without your bodies. Seems rather obvious does it not? And yet, in some ways, so little attention is paid to body's needs, its considerations, to attune to body and co-creating with it.

The body has been a willing servant to your inner consciousness, to the you which is married and mingled with your four bodies, (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual), to the point that you have very little perception or experience of who you are independent of any of your four bodies. A miraculous relationship.

Greater perception of body consciousness will greatly enhance your ability to express through the body and to feel alive as the beings that you are. Being able to perceive the many communications through feelings, intuition, impulses, and desires which your body is expressing to you, will indeed enhance how you experience your life here. I believe that is the intention of many; to enjoy their lives, to bring themselves forth in the world as the unique creative beings that each of you are. Illness, lack of energy, and depression, are all seen as inhibitors and impediments to what you envision as a fuller life.

From the point of view of your enthusiastic spirit side, body has often been seen as a limiting and incapable vehicle for the expression of your being. Body has been viewed as a servant which you are often resentful of and that you would fire for being sick, for being poor, for being overweight, under-energized, and numerous other negative qualities. How body feels unpleasant to you. Thus the resentment of body and the desire to lift out of body, to get out of earthly existence because of the suffering and pain which all experience to one degree or another.

Because of the resentment and disconnection with body, and because body does not live up to your expectations, many of the ways you tend to gratify yourself is through various means of stimulation in order to feel alive.

Another thing that tends to happen is the objectifying of physical reality: trees are seen as objects for example. You don't experience the life force within the tree and how it expresses as treeness. You don't feel the energy of a squirrel playing and running and enjoying its life force. You don't experience the squirrel or tree as you feel your own life essence. You are not able to share or participate in the experience as you would with a friend in a lively conversation and how you can be enriched by that.

However, what I wish to say here is, as you heal in relationship to body and yourself, your ability to feel alive as body, as beings, will increase. As that relationship increases, you will enjoy listening to body and following body's leads and its ability to be in the world. That of course will still take many many different expressions, but there will be more alignment and attuning to body, and how body and you can co-create.

As you are able to experience and communicate more with the body of earth, you will derive a great deal more pleasure and amazement from the expression of physical reality. What you are able to perceive in physical reality will be increased. Your perceptions will be expanded, they will have more depth and aliveness. Body seen as a healthy partner that you can co-create with is the more idyllic relation.

So it is good to pay attention to all those little nuances which you normally judge as inconveniences. I feel stiff today. Body can't move. I'm not flexible anymore. Body is tight. I have to work on body in order to feel good so I can get to doing what I really want to do. I'm sure each of you have your scripts. One such script begins early in the morning with coffee. "I must awaken, get this thing going with a cup a coffee so it feels alive and energetic. It is not functioning yet, and I have these things I need to do in order to get on with my day and activities which must be done. Come on body. Wake up. Here you go, drink the coffee. Buzz, buzz. Ah, now I am ready to go."

Let us say energy is infinite and always available. And the ultimate source of awakening energizing energy is within your system as the God force manifesting in each of you, and within all of life. You need not artificially stimulate yourselves to be alive, or feel alive!

Let us say three Oms together to complete this work, to complete our message about body and reality. Paying attention to the voices within you, which indeed are from many levels. Enjoying and realizing the great communication between all levels of life, and all forms of life. This is, simply put, an alive universe. Nothing is dead or inanimate.

From the atomic to the galactic, life is a creative, dynamic, interlocking, interactive, mutually coexisting, relationship. And that synergy brings it all forth. You have incredible examples of this interactive coexisting relationship within your own body. For your body to function, each part must function well within the system. Yet each aspect is its own being and life force as well.

Some amazing awarenesses await humanity as it begins to deobjectify nature and reality and begins to sense, feel and communicate with the earth, your bodies, and even the heavens above as conscious life. It is all life, just as you are life.

The Universe as a Sentient Being

From the identity which you inhabit as body: arms, legs, and torso, to the body of the earth which may be summarized as nature and the elements, to body as the universe...physical manifestation, galaxies, and further to include all dimensions, all vibrations. That is BODY.

A contemplation of body as the universe as a sentient being is an exercise which benefits you greatly. It enhances your perception, understanding, and appreciation of life and reality, and opens the doors to begin to participate more fully with life, with the universes.

Becoming aware of the universe as a sentient being has been the domain of the psychics and of the masters, where you can communicate and perceive, feel and sense the multiple layers of beings which comprise All That Is. Here I am speaking of All That Is in its multiplicity, as well as acknowledging or remembering the Oneness of All That Is.

Awakening to this is part of your divine remembrance. Being physic is perception, memory, and experiences of various levels...of consciously knowing and perceiving body as the universe.

Being psychic could also be seen as having additional senses, or what could seen as the opening of the centers and the senses which are within you, but they are inactive at this time. As those senses open, you perceive more of reality and you indeed become more of the psychic in the generic way that word is understood. But you are becoming more of you, you are becoming aware of yourself as a member of the universe, and the universe as an alive sentient being.

In the past this was more readily understood and experienced. But the narrowing of your perceptions, and say the reduction in the way you think about the universe has lead to less direct experience of the universe. This has been a mutually reinforcing pattern. The more limiting your beliefs, the less you perceive. The less you perceive, the more limiting your beliefs become, and thus your experience of yourself and that which you are so miraculously immersed in.

So your body has much to offer. Body as the universe, has much to offer you in the way of understanding what you are all about. The universe has been evolving for quite some time, and is actually pretty sophisticated in its understanding of creation, and of life force...of life. After all there are planets, star systems, incredible ecological systems, which even to the most skeptic these days, hints to a miraculous intelligence and life which does evolve with purpose, with great creativity, beauty, harmony, and sense of balance.
