The Awful Sweetness of Escaping Sweat (by zoe000@hotmail.com) Dm we escape from the house Am as the day dissapears from the sky Into night C we bacame what we wanted to be G Am like a dream or a ghost Dm i collapse out of turn near a house Am lying still in the grass and felt the heat from the ground C G Am rising up to contract and expand like a breath Dm we escape from that place Am soaked with sweat and the poison we drank C fill the bathtub with ice, hope this fever will break G like a heart Am easily Dm G but i do not recall all the words that were formed Am on those wire lips as they greeted me Dm G Am a promise was made witout thought as the temperature climbed Dm G and i started to sink like the moon Am E C Em G tends to do if you stare at it too long E Am then you blink and it's gone C G Am and we crawl to our sleep with the dawn Dm Am repeated with "isn't it the same mistake" Dm Am i awake in the light feeling hollow and selfishly warm C close the blinds and retreat until what's burning is gone G Am and it's light is away Dm the we are back in the dark Am chasing nothing through backyards and trees C you ripped your shirt on a fence but it didn't get me G yeah it's fear Am it makes you so low Dm and these creatures look crooked Am their shadows cut lines through my face and the concrete is fire C where my bare feet are placed G Am in a line next to yours Dm G and i guess i'm not sure if it was fear that was born Am as those awful eyes made their claim on us Dm i put my hands on the fence G said your name Am and i started to climb Dm G and it must have been sweat but i drank it like wine Am E C Em G it was sweet, my mouth was dry E Am i heard you scream but i made no reply C G Am i can still taste it now if i try I'm hoping that's right. -robyn-lynn Bright Eyes - Falling out of Love at this volume Tabbed by Jonathan Heath Contact at...
