Olvir
Apprentice, Starcraft, Posted to Oriel
Olvir is among the newer additions to the ranks of Starcrafters at their Oriel outpost, and has quickly settled into his studies in his new home. The son of O'en, a bluerider at Fort Weyr and the Weyr nanny, Olvir was fostered at a small cothold near Fort Hold.
By his early teens he had been apprenticed to the Starcraft, at the Crafthall in the north, and quickly was seen as one of the craft's better students. Masters and journeyrank crafters saw in him a quick learner and a young man with the knack for taking any oddball theory on how to do things differently and attempting to turn it into a reality.
But while his professional life seems squeaky clean, Olvir's personality can sometimes be remote. He's a friendly sort, and very personable really. But there's something about him that few people know — mostly because he's gotten away with it for most of his life. See, he has a bad habit of lying. It may be a bit compulsive, but it's mostly just white lies and never anything of consequence. He's been doing it so long it seems natural to Olvir, and so unless someone knows the truth it's almost impossible to detect.

Description:
Perhaps short for his mid-teenage turns, this young man nevertheless stands up straight — with pride or maybe merely good posture. A trimmed yet lively head of orange-red hair, brown eyes both suspicious of the world yet earnest, and a smattering of freckles dominate his rather rounded, flat face.
His wardrobe is new — not particularly fancy but certainly not worn — and fits his slightly stocky frame well. The thick tunic and vest - in the dull range of the blue portion of the spectrum - plus wherhide pants, are worn like they're an unfamiliar choice of clothing for this teenager. On his shoulder in the knot of a Starcraft apprentice. A rough guess would put his age at about 16.

Logs:
Inyanna - Olvir meets a childminder while her charge is asleep.
Icecrafter - In the middle of the night, Olvir has a chat with an Icecrafter.
That Icecrafter and Inyanna - Another late night chat — with the unnamed one, and a brief exchange with Inyanna.
Jessna - Olvir meets the daughter of two of his Masters.
Finally, Incyndia - Olvir learns the name of the Icecrafter and chats with all three young women.
Lysa - Olvir meets a Weavercraft journeyman, recently transfered in.

Olvir is named after the insane Daxamite villain (and later Darkseid pawn) Ol-Vir, erstwhile member of the Legion of Super-Villains (from the Legion of Super-Heroes comic series). His look is nearly identical to that of my old BR character Olsen/O'en, who looks like the comic book version of Jimmy Olsen. The resemblance pretty much stops there.
