After owning a 99 Trans AM and being disappointed with it's quality and handling, my wife talked me into a C5 (she didn't have to try hard).  In my opinion this is far and away the best looking and engineered model Chevrolet has released. Though I am holding my breath to see what the new C6 will give us. Due to be launched in 2004 (as best I can tell), I hear it won't be a massive departure from the current C5 platform....it will include further refinements along with more horsepower and torque from an LS1 based power plant. Expect that overall displacement will be increased somewhere between 350 and 400 cubic inches. Horsepower ratings should be around 400 with a Z06 model following and 450hp.	The beautiful C5 Corvette.
