You're A Kitty

You're a kitty,
Such a kitty.
You are pretty, but witty you ain't.
It's a pity your intelligence is rather faint.
(La la la la, la la la la la)

You are charming,
Oh so charming,
And your charm is disarmingly sweet.
It's alarming that you only want to cadge a treat.
(La la la la la, la la la, la la, la la!)

See the pretty cat in the window there!
        (What window where?)
Now where did the kitty-cat go?
        (Go, go, go, go!)
She is on the rug,
She is on the stair,
She is on the shelf,
She is at the roast!
(Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no!)

We enjoy you
Though you're frightful.
You're annoying, delightful, bizarre.
You're a cat!
And that's that,
And it's just what you are!

Have you met our calico tabby?
We rescued her out of the street.
Back then she was scrawny and shabby...
Her recovery seems to be more than complete.

She thinks she's a queen, she thinks she should reign.
She isn't a queen, she's just a royal pain!
She'll run and she'll jump at things no one sees.
She's sleek and she's plump, no ticks and no fleas.
And to wake you up in the morning
She will pounce on you without warning.
Breathing her fur, you'll cough and you'll sneeze...
But hearing her purr will put you at ease.
