How Can I Keep from Screaming?

My day goes on for far too long
in endless aggravation
Each pointless task, each futile call
brings forth a new frustration.
Stupidity and lack of sense,
red tape and petty scheming,
They pound upon my weary soul --
How can I keep from screaming?

For lo! The boss man loudly roars
when bad news he receiveth.
The CEO bad news ignores
and ne'er a word believeth.
The strategy and product plan
are merest mist and dreaming.
Now forward charge, the Light Brigade! --
How can I keep from screaming?

When Finance trembles, sick with fear,
as auditors come teeming,
When sales go flat, both far and near,
how can I keep from screaming?
In cubicles and down the hall
we hear the peons steaming:
"The managers are morons all!" --
