MONDAY 07:59
Capo found! I had stowed it in a different compartment of my
backpack and was too bleary-headed to realize it.
Last night's stay is still on my room bill. Kathleen said to call
her if there was any last-minute problem, so I do. She gives me cash
for that amount, which also solves the ATM issue. I run into the
O'Hallorans in the elevator lobby on our room floor & pass El Kabong
to them, saving them an elevator ride: John is taking the day off &
keeping the room another night.
10:18
Waiting to board the plane. I'll try to work on these notes on the
flight, to make them less sketchy and more like a coherent text. Of
course, that depends on how coherent *I* am.
13:28
Switch to Mountain Time.
16:28 CT
The pilot says we're about to pass Chicago on our left. Yup, there it
is.
And the green Chicago River, no wider than a street,
Ripples westward from Lake Michigan below me.
(my "Waters of My Life". It's not up on the Web because the music is
original and I haven't made a webbable version of it.)
And the southeastern cup of the lake is just as I remember it: covered
with scum.
17:01 CT
Somewhere over Indiana, I guess.
Start writing the introduction to this conreport.

I wish I had sung more songs by MASSFILCers & other northeastern
filkers. Some that I thought I had packed, I didn't have with me; for
at least one that I had the lyrics and chords for, I found myself
unsure of its tune & unable to reconstruct it in the midst of a
filksing.
18:29 ET
approaching Philadelphia
20:07
In a taxi at last: mechanical problems with offloading the luggage
seem to be the norm, from this sample of two. But "home" again well
before nine.

FRIDAY, MARCH 14
Well, 12:35 a.m. Saturday as I make what should be the last complete
editing pass. This report is now up over 52kB, and I'll have to post
it in parts. How the boy do ramble!
