What was new on my Web site, 1998-1999
October, 1999:
July-August, 1999:
- Con From Argo was voted second place
in the theme filk contest ("Do It Yourself") at ConCertino '99.
It's about the not quite real-life eccentricities of the ConComm (including
your humble correspondent).
May 20, 1999:
The results of an overdose of Frank Hayes.
- Little Fuzzy Ancestors.
Taking a long view of some short folks.
- Little Fuzzy Vegetables.
The next time you hear something calling out to you from the fridge,
it might not be that leftover cheesecake.
April 29, 1999:
April 23, 1999:
March 31, 1999:
Jan. 30, 1999:
- various updates and cleanup on the home page, including
convention involvement
- added "Made by Macintosh" graphic at the bottom
Nov. 24, 1998: New "Christmas pickles"
- Deck the Aisles
- Ophidian Carol
(Not strictly a pickle, since it isn't sour;
but my sister says "Eewww, yuck!" I think it's sweet, in a weird way. YMMV.)
Nov. 1, 1998
- A tune
for the rowing song "East of Agamemnon" (Widsith's song)
in John Myers Myers's Silverlock,
and a fourth verse for it.
Oct. 19. 1998
April 24, 1998
April 19, 1998
March 30, 1998 (but not listed in this "New" file till April 14):
March 29, 1998
- A new filksong:
"Smoffing the Filkers".
Parents, don't let your children grow up to run the filking at conventions.
March 18, 1998
- An index to the major subareas.
- A new filksong,
"Sevens".
Pigs is pigs. Guinea pigs is even more so.
March 8, 1998
- A new filksong,
"Dead Wizards' Houses".
I suppose that title could be scary if you don't know Cheryl Wheeler's
"Dead People's Houses", but the people who have heard this song think it's funny.
That's good, because that's how I intended it.
- Some new odds and ends in
Cracks and Shards.
March 1, 1998
I've reorganized my largest subareas:
-
In Cracks and Shards, my fan area for Steven Brust's world of Dragaera, I've applied Christopher Davis's excellent organizational suggestions, which I hope will make the area easier to navigate.
-
And I've applied some of the same principles to my filk music area, cleaning up the index of my
filk songs and chaining the songs themselves together so you can move directly from one to another.
Feb. 25, 1998
New Year's Day, 1998
- A whole new area,
Cracks and Shards,
devoted to Steven Brust's Dragaera.
From the Welcome page:
It is intended for the Brust reader who is
interested in details.
There are details about time and Houses and other
institutions of Dragaera:
shards of knowledge, some of
which I have assembled into such imperfect wholes as their incomplete
state and my incomplete knowledge allow.
And there are (real or apparent)
contradictions and inconsistencies within the texts:
cracks, which I have tried to patch when possible, or
expose as real otherwise.
