Not Just Taylor (Part II)

Not that I have anyone to 'celebrate' with - sadly - but I sure wish this had been noted in my calendar! Given the alternatives presented here, I think gals should be asking for something other than flowers and chocolates next Valentine's Day. Good luck cashing in within the next few hours, fellas.

Punch and Pi

Also! Who knew that it was Pi Day?? Why doesn't anyone tell me these things?

Not Just Taylor

Belated birthday greetings to Stepdad, whose birtday was Monday.
And an early happy birthday shout-out to Gia, who liked the scarf I gave her (and whose birthday is tomorrow)

Aging - don't ya love it?

The 'Oh My God, It's Friday Already?' Friday Five!

1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not?
Not particularly. The best use of the telephone is to make plans to get together. You lose a lot when you can't see the other person's face or gestures, and you can't just have spaces of silence where you're both just kinda existing without yakking. BUT on the other hand it's not so bad. With so many long-distance friends and family phone conversations are a necessity, and I don't mind so much in that case.

2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?
A few minutes with Gia (in Seattle), and just before that a long and overdue chat with Dad (in Nebraska).

3. About how many telephones do you have at home?
Three - including one that I think is broken and my cell phone.

4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened?
Nobody in particular comes to mind. A couple of weeks ago I got two voicemails from someone who sounded like a 12-year-old boy who whispered something about wanting to have sex with me. I think it was a wrong number. Or maybe Taylor Hanson. (HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TAY TAY!!)

5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not?
It all depends. With friends I usually like to call to make plans, but often e-mail is quicker, especially when I'm at work and don't want to (or can't) take time out to chat. I like writing and recieving real letters, but alas it's a disappearing art and I don't do it nearly as often as I think I should.
