Underwhelmed

The date was fine. Just fine.

So I spent all day in my pajamas half-watching DVDs and knitting. Sigh.

Bits

* I was SO WORRIED that the shows would go badly today. There were a number of things going against having good shows today, the details of which I'll not reveal here, but everything went off without a hitch. Now I'm all pumped up from joy of things going well. I didn't realize how grumpy worry and stress makes me--go figure.

* Our stage manager couldn't stop talking about how wonderful Adaptation is. He insists that we all drop what we're doing and see it IMMEDIATELY, so there you go. I'd go tonight if I didn't have so much knitting and cooking to do, so what's your excuse?

* I got a bloody nose the other day, for no apparent reason. The dry air, perhaps? I realized that I hadn't had a bloody nose in years and it kinda freaked me out--it seems like you're losing a lot of blood, doesn't it? But it was over quickly; thus endeth this week's medical trauma.

* I love snow -- now that I no longer drive. More, more!

* I figured out how to make little movies on my digital camera, and I am silly-excited about it. With sound even!

* I'm currently in the process of making two scarves, a sweater and a hat. I have materials to make another hat and more scarves than I can count. We'll see if I finish any of this before the necessary shipping off of Xmas items. I have a feeling some might end up being Martin Luther King Day, or Valentine's Day presents. I finished my first sweater a couple of weeks ago. It's a little lumpy, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it.

* What do I wear to La Boheme this week? It's a "date," I guess, though things with the actor are more chaste than ever. I mean really. But I also find myself caring less, so we'll see.
