Statement
Dedicated to empowering women & youth
to overcome the limitations of homelessness and poverty.
Goals
- To build a database of resources for homeless or formerly
homeless women and youth.
- To provide access to information technology -- including equipment and
training -- for these populations.
- To provide computer workshops for homeless or formerly homeless
individuals who are interested in re-entering the workforce or returning to school.
- To provide free e-mail accounts for homeless and formerly homeless
women and youth on our local Free-Net, Seattle Community Network (SCN).
- To link women with other areas for relocation if necessary (such as in
a domestic violence situation).
- To help re-build self-esteem and destigmatize the condition of
homelessness.
