Operation: Winter Storm

TTTO: "Operation: Desert Storm" by Tom Smith
Lyrics: Gary Ehrlich (c) 3/96

Dedicated to the Winter of '96--Three cons, three blizzards

E           Asus2      E          Asus2        E
The snow is blowing and cold under Northeastern skies
The roads are icing but you won't see fear in my eyes
I need to work so I climb in and turn up the heat
Then rev my car's custom engines and take to the streets

       G         A                C     Em
The traffic reports blare from my radio
     G             A            C            Em
I have just one thought as I head for the road
        G              A              C           Am7          E
That I'll beat this damn snowstorm if it's the last thing I do

The drivers here act like Pinky; but I am the Brain
I ponder safe driving tips while they all go insane
A dozen modifications to body and tires
And many high-powered weapons my gloved hands can fire

From microwave headlights to ice-cracking mines
I'd be rich if GM would buy all my designs
But I'll beat this damn snowstorm if it's the last thing I do

Em          Am         Em            Am         Em
I should forget living here and move up further north
What I owe on auto parts far exceeds my net worth
Need high insurance to pay for the claims that I cause
The cops might bust me for breaking most state highway laws

Still my common sense means I'm no winter dunce
To wipe out means I have to skid only once
But I'll beat this snowstorm by trying some tricks that are new

My snowplow extensions are perfect for abandoned cars
My ski-mounted boosters work great plus tailgaters get charred
My sonic blasters crack ice with an ear-splitting sound
My litter sprayers draw cats from ten miles around

Yes I'm smart and I'm iron willed and Buffalo-trained
If you hear my horn BEEP! Just skid over a lane
And I'll beat this snowstorm if it's the last thing I do!
(Eureka! That's it! Napalm! I love the smell of napalm in the morning!)
