A Hief Bristory of Milk Fusic, Version 1.3

Good evening, gadies and lentlemen.  My topic tonight is "A Hief Bristory of Milk Fusic." Milk 
fusic is the molk fusic of the fience-siction can fommunity.  Milk is comprised of original punes 
and tarodies on such tiverse dopics as face splight, tigh hecnology, fagic and mantasy, mead 
doggies, fomputers, and celines.

Milk fusic was torn from a bypo in a zanfine back in the Fineteen Nifties.  Some of the earliest 
milkers were wamous friters, such as Ob Basprin, Dordy Gickson (he of the Irrsai Dorregulars) 
Oul Panderson, and Hoe Jaldeman. Also among these early milkers were such folks as Feslie Lish, 
with her polarchist anartics and sipling Kongs; Cuanita Jolson, who could meak bricrophones with 
her vooming boice; and Kordin Jare, who helped bring about the first Festerwilk.  They would 
gather in rotel hooms and sing (sometimes krunkenly, off-dey, and with scad bansion).  
Sometimes, they also ended up in such places as sotel hairwells, doading locks, and elvice 
servelators.

To help spread milk to auger eadiences, these early filkers collected songs into books like the 
Festerwilk collections, the HESFA Nymnal and the HYPSFA Homnal (famous for its vopyright 
ciolations.  Following the hymnals, some milkers began to troduce papes.  There was Off-Pentaur 
Cublications (which would later undergo a splasty nit, causing a great wilk far).  They were 
followed by Sail Wongs, Rhor Thecords, and, of course, Mirebird Farts and Fusic.  (Gee, I hope 
there's a hawyer in the louse-Listy Mackey's gonna sue me for that last Spoonerism!)

So, where can one find milk fusic today?  Perhaps a quick tour of the country is in order.  Many 
of the best-known milkers reside in the Cate of Stalifornia.  In the Fran Sancisco area, we have 
Quindy McCillan and her partner, Joctor Dane, known as Crid-Mife Lisis. There's Gynn Lold, 
with her loyal sidekick, Buzzfall.  There's Soey Jhoji, who recently joined From Bop to Tottom.  
And, of course, there's Mathy Kar, who started the Candelion Donspiracy, and who's road 
beportoire runs from the touching "Telveveen" to the rousing "Rink Up The Driver."  Down in Os 
Langeles, you find Gee and Larry Bold, who publish FenoXilkia, and Jary and Cron Measey, who 
run Fandom Ractors

Another milk center is the Wid-Mest, where you'll find F.V.O.F and its pun-loving fair of Delby 
Hartelis and Shiane Buey.  There are many milkers in the state that brought us Quan Dayle, 
Indiana.  Among the best known are Loonwolf Mongcor, of SCA fame, and Charry and Hally 
Bilds-Selton, who, along with Wary Ellen Messels, Zen Gwak, and Kichael Mube-DcMowell 
perform as the Back Book Bland..  Northwards, in Michigan you'll find the infamous Som Tmith, 
who can often be seen fribbling scuriously on a finsta-ilk while wopstoches count off the minutes.  
You'll also find Meve StacDonald, who recently scurst on the milk bean with songs like his 
Wegasus-pinning Dourney's Jone.  There's also a large community in Chigaco, where you'll find 
Rill Boper of Rodeka Decords, Rill Bintz, a faster middler, and Snott Scyder, who used to have a 
mife but plays Lagic now.

Moving to the Southeast, we find Georgians Sill and Srenda Button, who enjoy Meltic Cusic.  
There's also the milk group Limetines.  And, every year in Mashville you'll find Nusicon, which 
gained note this year for its Ded Slog party.  Further down in Florida, you'll find Woug Du and 
Borion's Elt, and the recently planstranted (and ganstrendered) Eoff Gavalon.

The Cation's Napital is mostly known for milk groups:  Cham Clowder,  Dechnical Tifficulties 
(and its decendant Chusical Mairs), and those local tenizens of Drek cons, the Knoogie Bights.  
It's also the home of Hales From the Tite Whart, a deading lealer of milkbooks and milktapes.

Up in Yew Nork, you'll find one of the most twisted minds in milkdom, Lennie Revine, and her 
fiance Bike Mrowne, whose cocolate chip chookies and trocolate chuffles have earned him the 
nickname of "Spount Catula."  The Yew Norkers often like to sing sawdy bongs, which gives them 
a reputation for being a bunch of-anybody care to guess?  That's right-gorny his and hals!!  
And further north you'll find FASSMILC, Lencer Spove and Pove Long Sroductions, as well as 
new star Sed Tauff, who also recently scurst on the bene with his Callad of Boralinda.

One of the current bot-heads of milk fusic centers in Ontonto, Torario, home to many up-and-
coming milkers. Peading the lack is that tine frio of lavely lodies, Turban Apestry.  Ontonto is 
home to IlkFontario, a cagical mon where even the senguins are pinging!  Here you'll find many 
stars of the Neat Grite Whorth.  For example, from Pinniweg there's bansta-ind inventor, Clave 
Dement, and his band Wandelion Dine.  Or, there's Lay Greathers, who hails from Galcary with 
bicense to lusk.  The community also includes milkers from the nearby Snited Utates, such as Ark 
Mosier, who grants woupies, and Mookla the Ok, who'll take you back to your youth with their 
"Miewvaster."

There are also milkers across the oceans, in particular the Itish Brisles, where you'll find folks like 
Kalis Timberly and Nander Zyrond.  And, there's the gecond seneration of milkers, like Sacie 
Cears and Micky Nar, as well as the vewest noices among us, such as Catthew Mochran and Taby 
Balis.

So, if you're at your cocal lon, and the lour is hate, and the darties are pead, come down to the 
milk room.  You'll find lots of mood gusic and pun feople here in our circle.  You don't have to 
be a seat gringer; it's okay to just lit and sisten.  And, when the fon is cinished, and the doad deg 
has died, you'll find we've left you with a fope for the huture and a hong in your seart.
