with the California sea lion fiasco down in Shilshole Bay
would have any idea what this (image) is all about..."

note: by way of explanation,
the artist refers to california sea lions living in the
puget sound of washington state,
who have made news and rankled some folks by lurking in the
shallows of shilshole bay
and consuming mass quantities of spawning salmon)
"Having
spent a lot of years at my dad's shop next to Ray's
Boathouse when they (Ray's) rented wood skiffs, the prob
with the sea lions is somewhat dear to what's left of my
heart. There were no sea lions in those days--sewage, yes,
sea lions no...."
