On Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21, the National Capital Heisey Collector's Club will hold their 37th Annual All-Heisey Glass Show and Sale at a new location in Annandale, Virginia. Dedicated volunteers have sponsored and promoted an all-Heisey glass show in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area since 1973. The finest dealers from across the country will show and sell Heisey Glass.

A theme celebration, "Spring Blooms With Heisey," will focus on Heisey flower vases, baskets, and frogs, as well as floral etchings and cuttings. Throughout its history, Heisey produced flower vessels in myriad shapes, sizes, and colors, either plain, etched, or cut into the glass. 1940 marked the year the much admired and collected "Orchid" etching was begun by Heisey Glass Co.

A.H. Heisey & Company began operations in Newark, Ohio in 1896. For 62 years the company produced some of the highest quality glassware made in America. As a result of foreign glassware flooding the American market, Heisey closed its doors in December 1957. A group of collectors from the D.C. area banded together in 1972 to form the National Capital Heisey Collector's Club to raise funds for the Heisey Museum. NCHCC continues to raise funds to support the Heisey Museum.

In November 1900, Heisey began using the famous Diamond-H trademark which appeared on glassware sold by the company—either in the form of an adhesive label or impressed into the glass itself. When hunting for Heisey glass, it is important to remember that the Diamond-H was not pressed into every piece of Heisey.

After a cold and snowy winter, join travelers from across the U.S., Canada, Asia, and European countries to attend the Annual All-Heisey Glass Show and Sale!
