Ah, Shania. We all know the story of the little girl from Canada raised on a reservation. With the possible exception of Mango from Saturday Night Live, Shania has the most famous midriff today. Any boy does she work it.
This CD reminds me of the Old Testament: There's a little something in there for everyone. Regardless what you like or believe, you'll find it "Come On Over." If you like pop ballads, "You're Still the One" and "From This Moment On" are for you. Like Country? It's in there. Rockabilly? You bet!
But all this still leaves me wondering why release a title which has all the same songs as a previous release two years ago? Well here's my guess: Calling it the "International Version" makes it sounds less like a country CD and opens the market up to more people. Of course, it could just be that they wanted a place to show more sultry shots of Miss Twain. Pop, Country, Rockabilly, Sultry Shots. It's in there. (12/99)
