Personal interests include my wife, Sonia, and my children, Erika and Erik, fine wine, fine dining, winemaking, and computers. The children and computers go hand in glove; the food and wine are something else again. I was lucky to be introduced to the art of food, wine, and warm company by the late, great Angelo Pellegrini; the father of my childhood best friend Brent Pellegrini. Pelly was a neighbor, mentor, and generous patriarch. He taught me the craft of winemaking. I still have many bottles of vino from Dr. Pellegrini as a personal legacy. In August '99, I had successful laser eye surgery. Went from 12.25 diopters correction (very, very nearsighted) to 1/2 diopter (20/25) with no complications. Best thing that I ever did!
