Cultural Educational Center ZMAJ

A small group of friends decided to open a cultural center for the children of former Yugoslav origin who live in the area of New York. Cultural Educational Center ZMAJ (pronounced to rhyme with “smile”) was founded in 2002. After two years of preparations, the Center opened with programs for children 5 - 12 in 2004. Currently the center holds various art, drama and music workshops in a rented space in a public school on Roosevelt Island. For more information check ZMAJ’s web page:
