Home    The Beginning    Ready to Roll

7/5/01: First up close look this morning. (Peeked through the window yesterday when I found out it was back from the paint shop and reassembled.) Not bad, eh?

The two tone paint job works really well. The silver color on the bottom matches the silver on the kick plates and valve covers of the RT. Still to come: molding around the perimeter of the rig as well as work on the ventilation system.

OK, so I could have done better correcting the color when I screwed around with the brightness and contrast. Trust me, it's a perfect match, front to back.

The two round openings in the snout are providing plenty of fresh air inside the rig. With the high windshield and without those openings it would get pretty hot in there. The next step is to be able to direct the flow of air and be able to turn it off when it's cold out. Eventually there will be a vent at the feet and one in the small dash of the rig.

I can't say enough about the super job that Liberty Sidecars has done on this rig. I'll be picking it up tomorrow and taking it for a ride up to Winthrop for the weekend and then to the National in Oregon in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.
