Bandit Rig

Ever had a ride in a hot air balloon?

The 30th Annual Griffeth Park Sidecar Rally

Sidecar project - If motorcyclists are the lunatic fringe of the driving community, then sidecarists are the lunatic fringe of the lunatic fringe!

I can't explain it, but I've always wanted a sidecar, and always wanted a BMW on the left side of the combination. I've seen and ridden a lot of different rigs and even owned a Goldwing/EML rig and new I felt a lot more comfortable on the rigs where the frames were solid, the bikes were powerful, the front end was up to the job and the motorcycle wheels were swapped out for more stable automotive type wheels.

I've also known for a long time that for me, it costs me more if I try to do it myself. When I found out that EZS had a dealer in Seattle, it was all over. A couple of visits to Liberty Motors convinced me that Pete Larson would do a meticulous job - the kind of job I could never hope to do myself. After finding a used R1100RT on consignment, courtesy of Master Salesman Sean Siem, then of Cascade Motorcycles, now of Ride West BMW,  I went back to Liberty Motors and plunked down the up-front money on the EZS Summit and then waited for it to come in.
