The Frequency Lists:
10 km North of Seattle // Central Seattle // 10 km South of Seattle

This site is for micropower broadcasters, by micropower broadcasters, and is for local and visiting micro, pirate, LPFM, and civilly disobediant activist broadcaster types who want to make use the airwaves in Seattle, but don't want to step on each other's toes. The topolgogical complexity of this region actually allows for somewhat *more broadcast opportunities than we will show* (pockets of extra broadcast availability exist in the 'shadows' of hills, and frequency sharing is often available, especially at VLPFM {'Very Low Power' FM, less than 10 watts}, or *mPFM* {'micro-Powered' FM, less than 1,000,000 microwatts}. However, all the generally available LPFM frequencies are here, with suggested guidlines not to exceed 100, or 10 watts, as the case may be. You may check out (like a library) individual frequencies for non-commercial use.

All this is strictly voluntary. There is no enforcement, no rules (except we ask you to use no more than one frequency), and channels are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The general philosophy that we request you follow is to please be courteous to existing broadcasters when you enter the airwaves. Hopefully, all will go fairly smoothly.

There is no time limit to how long you can have a frequency checked out, as long as you are using it, but please check the frequency back in when you're done. If people notice that a checked-out frequency has not been used for a while, we'll try to contact you and check that frequency back in so that it can be made available for others. If conflict arises because all the available frequencies are in use, *and you are being an extreme jackass*, we will have to figure something else out. I guess we will have to burn that bridge when we come to it. Please be nice.

Supplying contact info (optional, of course, and YES, we know security is an issue) may help us deal with this sort of thing. This is all an experiment, so we'll see how it goes.
