i am sitting here staring out the window at work, feeling particularly inadequate at computerthings. just wanted to tell someone that the sky is beautiful here... wanted to type that into the space between silicate bytes and everything. and i do mean everything.

i bought fevers and mirrors a couple of weeks ago when i was down in madison... i'd been looking for it ever since i heard the calender hung itself on a college radio station and i fell in love with it... i'd looked all over for it and when i finally found it i just about had a heart attack. i've been listening to the cd almost non stop since i got it. and, btw... if bright eyes is getting popular, it's not really visible where i'm from, because nobody knows who they are except for me:)

So there I was on a bus, my brain wired on a concoction of Halls, Day Nurse (a cold medicine), and an unhealthy quantity of wine gums, when I found myself unconsciously singing along to 'the Center of the World'. By the time I got to 'the Alarm clock's going off! But you're not waking up!!!' and so on, the frightened looks on the faces of the other passengers could have embarrassed the most arrogant bastard (who loves his own voice) to the point of eating a bowl of wax, bartered from a paraplegic mule living on the streets of Hampstead. Or whatever. But I was ill, and the band's so great. Hoping they'll tour London again. Yo, at UCL

I've seen Bright Eyes twice and enjoyed every minute of each concert. I saw them at Lawrence Univ. in Appleton, WI, both times, and had the pleasure of telling Conor how delightful and emotionally ......satisfying his music is for me. If, by chance, Conor reads this, please know that I can't wait for your next tour, whenever that may be, and that I continue to be impressed by your music. Come to Appleton again sometime! You're one of my few inspirations seeing that my "muse" seems to have left me with artistic/writers block. Hello to fellow Bright Eyes fans, and if you're in Milwaukee, so am I (MIAD student). E-mail me if you want, otherwise, that's about it for now. farewell.

last night at go recording studios, i saw bright eyes for the first time - and was astounded by the fact that the teary-eyed state sometimes induced by the albums can be reproduced in a live seting. wow. they. . . yeah, just wow.

A few weeks ago now I saw a Wichita Records package tour with Her Space Holiday and Bright Eyes *Wichita is their British label*. HSH had sound troubles, so we got an extra few songs by Bright Eyes, which is always a pleasure. The way Connor can captivate a crowd..well, a very small crowd...is excellent. Fevers and Mirrors is my album of the year, if I believed in such a thing. He's getting abit of a reputation in Britain, through word-of-mouth as much as anything. Wonderful stuff, obviously.

I am absolutely in love with the music of bright eyes. Conor's lyrics and voice are so emotional and beautiful. Fevers and mirrors has taken over my cd player and i cant seem to listen to anything else. I just wish i could see him live.

Bright Eyes kicks ass. I , like, TOTALLY relate to the song "A Poetic Retelling of an Unfortunate Seduction". Its like, the most beautiful, depressing, emotional music there is. Original. Creative. Incredible.

I first heard Bright Eyes in Minneapolis. It was a short show but it was well worth it. There is so much sadness in Conor's songs. He is a very talented individual. One stupid quetion, Is the interview on the Fevers & Mirrors album legitimate?

Absolutely best band ever. Conor's voice is so sincere, pulls me into the music every time I listen. The lyrics rule me, the radio thing on Fevers and Mirrors was great too. I live for Bright Eyes now. Really insperational, a Renaissance for the soul is at hand ! The music is a wonder of the world; A contribution to humanity. I'd donate my first born child to 'em.

Thank god for Napster! I'd heard about Bright Eyes in NME and Melody Maker, but couldn't afford to buy an album I'd hate. So, got some tracks downloaded, and bought "Fevers and Mirrors" the same day! Gorgeous songs. I think my favourites are "The Calendar Hung Itself", "Haligh, Haligh" and "February 15th". Conor is a pretty incredible guy.

I'd like to point out that conor has one of the most incredible voices i have ever heard. It's so hypnotic.. it's like i have to drop everything and just listen.. that's how much it moves me.. he's seen so much, yet he's so young. He has an incredbly deep soul. the end.
